§01

Introduction

PDF Tools does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All processing is performed locally on your device. We have nothing to sell, share, or analyse about you.

PDF Tools is developed by DevXNet (bundle ID: com.devxnet.PDF-TOOLS). This privacy policy explains how we handle — or rather, how we do not handle — your data when you use the PDF Tools application on iPhone and iPad.

§02

Data We Collect

PDF Tools collects no personal data whatsoever. Specifically:

  • No account creation or registration is required
  • No usage analytics or telemetry are collected
  • No advertising identifiers are accessed
  • No crash reports are sent to external servers
  • No personal information is ever transmitted over the internet

The app functions entirely offline. An internet connection is never required or used by PDF Tools for any feature.

§03

Device Permissions

PDF Tools may request the following system permissions. Each permission is used exclusively for its stated purpose and data is never transmitted externally.

  • Camera — Used exclusively for the "Scan to PDF" feature and to capture your handwritten signature. Images are processed locally and immediately, then discarded from memory. They are never uploaded or transmitted.
  • Photo Library — Used to import images for the "Images → PDF" feature and to import a signature photo. No images are uploaded to any server. Access is read-only and occurs only when you explicitly select content.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → PDF Tools.

§04

Files & Storage

PDF files you create, modify, or process are stored in your device's local storage, accessible via the iOS Files app. PDF Tools does not access any files without your explicit action (file picker selection or sharing extension).

Temporary files created during processing (e.g., intermediate ZIP archives for sharing image folders) are written to the system's temporary directory and are automatically cleaned up by iOS.

PDF Tools has no access to files outside of its own sandbox and the file locations you explicitly grant access to through the system file picker.

§05

Third-Party Services

PDF Tools does not integrate any third-party services, including:

  • No analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
  • No advertising networks or SDKs
  • No crash reporting services (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
  • No social login or identity providers
  • No cloud storage or sync services

The only external network request PDF Tools may make is to Apple's App Store servers for in-app purchase validation if applicable, which is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework.

§06

Children's Privacy

PDF Tools does not collect any data from any user, including children. The app is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

§07
